Prix de l�Arc de Triomphe hero Bago can be backed at 6/1 to land the Breeders Cup Classic at Lone Star Park later this month.

The French star, who defeated 18 of Europe�s top horses in the Arc at Longchamp on Sunday, has reportedly come out of the race in great form, although as yet, no decision has been made on whether the son of Nahswan will definitely head to America.

The colt has been beaten just twice in nine outings and is as short as 9/2 with William Hill.

Last season�s winner Pleasantly Perfect heads the betting at 5/2. The American raider has since won the Dubai World Cup and Pacific Classic and looks a worthy favourite to defend his title on the dirt.

Fellow American, Ghostzapper can be supported at 7/1. The Awesome Again colt heads to the Texas track on the back of four victories, most recently in the Woodward Stakes at Belmont Park and is an obvious danger.

Birdstone and Roses in May are available at 8/1 and 10/1 respectively, while further down the list, 16/1 can be found about former Kentucky Derby winner Funny Cide, who finished a desperately disappointing ninth in this event last year.
