Two Republican outsiders have come in for substantial support to win the US Presidential Election with bookmakers William Hill who say that they expect 5million to be gambled on the outcome of the Election for the first time.
Hills have cut their odds about South Texas congressman, Ron Paul, from an opening 80/1 down to 12/1 seventh favourite, after taking a string of bets of up to 1000 a time; and with former Arkansas Governor, Mike Huckabee also attracting some hefty bets at odds of 100/1 and 66/1 he has now been cut to 50/1by Hills.
'Despite Hillary Clinton having been hot favourite for some months, there are plenty of political punters prepared to bet against her winning the race and we are already seeing a record betting turnover which encourages us to believe that over 5million is likely to be bet on the outcome before it is finally decided in just over a year's time' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
