Following Al Gore's Nobel Peace Prize triumph, William Hill have cut their odds about him becoming the next US President from 12/1 to 8/1 third favourite.
'Political punters have been backing Gore for some while, suspecting that he will make a dramatic entry into the race and after this latest honour there is little doubt that he would be a serious contender should he decide to run' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe,
'He is already a six figure loser for us and the heaviest backed candidate. One customer has already staked 3000 on him at 25/1 and stands to make 75,000'
William Hill make Hillary Clinton 1/ 2 favourite with Rudolph Giuliani 4/1 second favourite with Barack Obama and Fred Thompson both 9/1 shots.
