2.05- Baileys Dancer, 2.40- Ski Jump, 3.15- Medeena, 3.50- Ayun, 4.25- Fantastic Love, 5.00- Rellim
Ski Jump () is taken to successfully defy top weight for the Roger Charlton yard in the Copt Hewick Handicap. The grey made a winning debut in Handicap Company at Leicester two weeks ago when thrashing Trouble At Bay by 3 lengths. He looks progressive and it would be disappointing if he failed to follow up in the hands of Jamie Spencer.
The highlight of the afternoon is the Ripon Silver Bowl Fillies Stakes (Listed Race) in which Medeena () is expected to go very close. The John Dunlop trained filly ran out a tidy winner at Leicester earlier this month and looks the type to go on. Arundel handler Dunlop has his string in fine order and Medeena could well be the one to follow in Ripons most valuable contest of the day.
Mark Johnston’s Fantastic Love () should be backed in the Skelton Maiden Stakes. The American bred colt made a pleasing debut at this track a fortnight ago when rallying late to finish a neck behind Geoff Wraggs Always Esteemed. He’s bound to come on for the run and is expected to have the fitness edge over chief rival Excellento. |
