WILL YOUNG TO BE PRIME MINISTER IN FUTURE?

Will Young may have a number one album and single under his belt but William Hill punter James Haider can see the Pop Idol winner heading for number 10 – and he doesn’t mean in the charts. James, from North Yorkshire, has put £10 on Will becoming the British Prime Minister in the future and bookies William Hill have given him odds of 1,000-1.

Hills spokeswoman Jennie Prest said, “We’ve had plenty of bets for stars to be US President - Will Smith, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tiger Woods and even Britney Spears! but this is a first for a British star who hasn’t already got a career as an MP. Given that this is a subject Will Young studied at university it may well be a future he would consider. However, we do feel he would have to give up on a very lucrative pop career first, and with his records flying off the shelves at the moment we are not too worried yet!”
