Look he has got to be off
How can you work for a manager that kicks boots in your face, leaves you out of the team for a striker.
I think his popularity worldwide would only increase with a move.
If he doesn't move now he may regret it for the rest of his life. |

| Get *real* everybody, no way is David Beckham leaving for Real Madrid or anywhere else for tha matter, he and his wife would never uproot the children and take them out to another country leaving their beloved grandparents and families behind. David is a Man United player through and through so why must you all speculate and feed these silly rumors. And besides he may as well sit it out on the bench here at Manchester United now and then he'd be doing that anyway if he moved to Milan there is no guarantee that he'd play regularly over there with so many world class stars in their team. |

| Gwenickda - i think you might be missing the point. It is not a question of his skill level but one of Commercial Value. The way i see it - Real Madrid view Beckham as a way to make money, lots of money. And if he does go - he will get his fair share of games. Injuries, suspensions etc... will mean he plays. |

Only time will tell who's missing the point here.
Everyone is so wrapped up in these newspapers rubbish stories, don't you see the are only using you to sell their newspapers people like you are so gullible you'll believe anything they print. They are only printing these stories right now because Man United are up there at the top and looking like the new champions these tabloids love to put a spoke in the wheel to try and unsettle the team. Untill you hear it from David's own lips you should ignore their silly stories. David 's heart is at Man United he doesn't want to leave and according to Manchester United he is not even for sale and according to the stories in the papers this morning Real Madrid don't even want him!!
Just suppose that this is the *real* truth then the tabloids are going to have to come up with another team to try and convince you that David is on his way out, who will be next on the list of potential buyers I wonder?
I don't know if you are a Man United fan but I sure am and untill they or David tells us anything different I believe that David will be a Man Utd player for years to come. If I'm wrong and he does go then I wish him good luck and every happiness and thanks for the wonderful memories. |

being a gir, i have been a fan of manutd since david join the team, since then, i don't miss a match on tv, i think someone is right to tell that we should not believe in what newspapers are saying, we must wait for david himself tell what is going on there! but i would like to point out that they are using him for money and the worst thing is that in that football world there, the players can't even oppose to say that they want to stay in their team, i think it's very unfair!! and if david has to go, it will be against his will, and who wants david to have a broken heart...?? definitely not me!!!

| Any manager that signs Beckham on football ability needs their head examined... he's a 2-trick pony. Fergie should take the money and run (come in Duff, Kewell, Defoe). Any girl that knows nothing about football should take a running jump and buy a few copies of OK or Hello. In fact, Beckham can take a running jump as well the overhyped schemer. And when he gets to whereever he's going, he'll never settle because he has no mental capacity for learning languages or integrating into a different culture. Give it 2 years and he'll be on Spurs' books. |

| I wonder if the person named Judo is an Englishman. If you are then how would you feel about David Beckham if he were to score the winning goal in a World Cup or a European Championship final? After all England wouldn't have been in the last World Cup final if it weren't for David Beckham. |

We weren't in the last world cup final (see anonymous). And we would have been in the previous world cup quarter final if it wasn't for him.
If you mean 'finals' (with an 's') I feel sure his ability to score free kicks will not be hindered by playing for another club.
I doubt he has the courage to leave the bosom of the club that has supported him through his whole career, especially to move to the one club where he could struggle to make the starting XI. I am English, but give me Figo for Beckham any day. |

I thought the argument here was will David Beckham stay or leave Man United for Real Madrid and not who is the best player Figo or Beckham.
I'm nor suggesting that David is the best midfield player but he did take England into the last World Cup Finals with that last gasp free kick and I'm sure that every English supporter that day breathed a huge sigh of relief.
I don't quite understand how you could blame him entirely when England failed to quallify for the previous World Cup quarter final, I know he got himself sent off which was very silly thing to do but surely that alone was no excuse why England didn't progress to the quarter final, it wasn't as if David had missed a penalty like some other England players have, and the 10 men left on the pitch that day could have made more of an effort which means that you must rate David a little or you wouldn't be saying that it was his fault that England didn't make it to the quarter final that time, I take it that what you're saying is that with David on the pitch England would have stood a better chance of getting into that quarter final. He certainlly didn't deserve the tretment he got from the English fans after that episode. With or without David the England team are simply not good enough to win the World Cup. AMEN. |

Too Much For Me |
|

Well i just don't remember this forum being so busy - its just too exciting for words.
Not really sure how the topic has reached this point but Beckham WAS not to blame for us losing to Argentina. If anything i think him being sent off helped us. It was a classic case of 10 men working that extra bit harder. Had Becks not walked the team wouldn't have been so defensively minded and Argentina would have scored at least once more against us.
Anyway back to the real point of this forum - Beckham has to backed to go. I have heard from several sources (not all available to the public domain) he is on his way come June. |
