6pts West Ham to beat Fulham at 5/4 (General)
0.5pts sell time of first West Ham goal at 49 (SportingIndex)
Not one home victory is precisely why West Ham languishes at the foot of the table. It is well a published fact that no team at the bottom of the Premiership on Christmas day survives the drop. Glenn Roeder will desperately be hoping his side can break this trend and avoid the financially crippling move to the Nationwide.
If West Ham are to achieve survival – they must beat Fulham. Earlier in the season this would not have been the easiest of tasks. However, the signs are that Fulham’s season is falling apart. First they were knocked out of the UEFA Cup and have now lost the last two league games in which they conceded goals inside the first ten minutes.
Although West Ham have not done brilliantly at Upton Park, they have at least started games well at home. A fast start similar to the one against Bolton and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the home side take an early lead. A packed Boxing Day crowd will certainly be doing their level best in the early stages to help their team.
Take a best price of 5/4 for West Ham to finally secure three points at home. Spreads fans should go for a small sell of first Hammers goal given Fulham have conceded early twice in the last two matches. |
