FIXED ODDS

11pts Eagles (-6.5) to beat Bears at 10/11 (general)

The Bears have been hit hard by injuries and are in a five-game losing streak -- their longest since a six-game slide in 1998. Losing last week to Minnesota is not going to have boosted confidence at all. Meanwhile, the Eagles are flying at present and should be backed to cover the handicap.

SPREAD BETTING

0.25pts buy 49ers/Raiders TD yardage at 115 (SportingIndex)

In the opening weeks of the season, the Oaklands offence was on fire and was scoring points from all areas on the field. The defence for that matter was also conceding a few points. The average touch down yardage from these matches was an astonishingly high 230 yards. However the number of points and TD has dropped significantly in the last three games. While the home offence has hit lean times, the 49ers have been finding their scoring form. And in last week’s win the total touchdown yardage was 202 thanks mainly a 61yard TD from wide receiver, Terrell Owens.

With the Raiders secondary in disarray, the 49ers receivers should enjoy plenty of success from distance. The 49ers defence has not been as productive as the offence and has given up over. Last week Oakland were terrible against the worst ranked defence in the league, but in front of their home fans we can expect a significant improvement. Anything like the scoring form from the early weeks and we can expect not only a high scoring encounter but a high make-up on the touchdown yardage market (105-115).
