Betting Verdict
11pts on Harrington to beat Goosen (Over 72 holes) at 10/11 (Sporting Odds)

Both players have a great chance to close in on the Order of Merit and are the class competitors in the field. Goosen is defending champion but Harrington has won 2 of his 5 tournaments here. A fine win at the Dunhill Links Championship, and all round good form over the last few months. Goosen has not played in many events of late and so may be a little rusty.

2.5pts win on Trevor Immelman at 25/1 (bet365)

The young South African has had a fine season without a victory, and is up against a fairly weak field this week. He can definitely score well, but needs to avoid the one bad round which sometimes lets him down. We think he can, and he looks the best value of the three youngsters, namely himself, Adam Scott and Paul Casey.

2.5pts win on Phillip Price at 28/1 (Eurobet)

Inspirational in the Ryder Cup and has only played once since when he finished tied for 26th at the Dunhill Links Championship. Had four good rounds in the 60’s here last year when he finished 16th.

2.5pts win on Paul Casey at 25/1 (Sporting Odds)

Has been in fine form recently with five finishes in the top 13 in his last six events. Yet to win this year but has won before on the European tour and his season is deserving of a victory.

2.5pts win on Miguel Angel Jiménez at 28/1 (Sporting Odds)

Will be glad to be back in his homeland after largely struggling in the US. When he has played in Europe this season he has performed fairly well, and the home support could be a major factor.
